Transaxle failures at Bathurst have been fairly uncommon. Most teams tend to throw a fresh one in for the race.

Maybe for another thread, but why isn’t Tickford or Penske racing the Ford GT at B12Hr? Give Webber a run, maybe with Eric Bana.

So I'm reading the comments of Tickford and DJRTP, and 888's comments and I've come to a realisation.

Nothing changed with the aero of the ZB, from other aero sensitive tracks. The Ford teams have **** the bed and taken the rear wing off, roasting their rear tyres in the process.

The advance that 888 made when they tested was power-down - so they just got out of the corners quicker and therefore had great straight line speed, but the Ford teams all zigged when they should have zagged.

This is where the winning margin came from.

I don't think we'll see the same sort of margin at Bathurst - but perhaps Indy?

It's a pertinent question, they put in a solid result, nipping at the heels of the lead PRA car and a lap ahead of the others.

Also ahead of a number of ZB's with an aero advantage...

Does the GT qualify under GT3 regs rather than GTLM. As for Mr. Webber, he has no interest in running at Bathurst due to him feeling that the track is too dangerous to host a race.

Anyway (and I don't feel like editing my previous post) to get back on track (pun included) Bathurst will be shown 4 times in picture quality than previously, more commonly known as 4K. *Be right back, buying 4K screen*

As for Mr Webber he is AFAIK contractually tied to Porsche for Ambassadorial duties. So zero chance of a Ford drive. Or anything not Porsche related. He does nothing nowadays it seems that is not a glorified Porsche ad, in terms of track day drives circuit demo laps etc.

Webber's done. Bana's done.

The Ford GT is GTE/GTLM spec, so not elegible for the B12Hr in any way, shape or form.

He is not interested in racing in the 12 hour. Anyway Porsche will have a very strong driver lineup in the 12 hour regardless, they sure did in the 2018 race.

The Ford GT could easily be in GT3 if Ford wanted to homologate it. The previous model Ford GT was, Kevin Weeks raced it in Australian GT a few times in recent years
