Have to agree with Andy here, it is a huge credit to you all in keeping this going. For me, a series of unfortunate events over the last few years meant that I only returned to racing this year and the 360 is not in the budget, but I follow it with interest form here and wish you all the best of luck. An amazing job.

Maybe they could be invited to enter, too???
Thanks for the kind words Andy....It is Brooklands College that we hope to sort an entry with....and we really want them in the race.

Blimey you've been retired two months and you still haven't done that? I presume it'll be finished on the trailer at the M11 service station as usual

Have a good safe time one and all sorry my entry didn't materialise. I'll try to listen to RLM while at trackside in Hampshire so say hello!

racemech should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi All,

Had planned to go today, but at the last minute I couldn't make it.

Would love to know which 'Willhire winning' car was on display in the paddock though?

All the best,
racemech.

Did Smithy do the whole race on his own? Fair play to him! Or has the timing just missed off his co-drivers' names?

I hitched up with Malcolm Macadam at the last minute and what an asset he turned out to be, both fast and kind to the car. The MG never missed a beat, although it's now very short of brakes and tyres - remember I'd only planned to do a couple of stints in a relay team so simply wasn't equipped for the full 6. Brooklands College team stepped in and did all the pit work for us admirably, you couldn't wish for a better bunch of guys. A simply great day and I'll take a top ten finish any time :-)
Massive thanks to Claire and John and Carol and the marshals and Hindy and everyone that makes this simply the best race day of the year. And Mike B of course, who was fully employed in the safety car.
Must just say that as far as I'm aware there was NIL car to car contact all day - must be some kind of record and shows that it can be done.
