novicecross should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Snett last Saturday - 2CV Meeting

Were any of the marshals on here working at the Esses on Saturday afternoon? Would love a perspective on an incident there as I could see nothing from the cockpit.

Just want to know what went wrong.

Feel free to PM.

That would be me. There was no need to bend it all up like that before you returned it!!

Did you see why the car hit me? I thought I had left plenty of room. Assume there was some lockup or somesuch with one of the two cars I had passed at the end of Revitt. Was unwinding lock when bang......

Just trying to work out what I could have done differently or whether it was just bad luck.

From where I was (Bomb Hole In) there was a half spin and the car behind had nowhere to go. The nose cone remained intact for about 5 laps and got hit on the last lap of the race. It is strange how the nose cone did not get touched earlier.

Nick Dunn, the driver of the MG broke his left hand in the incident, in 5 places apparently. He had surgery on the hand at his local hospital, in Leeds, on Tuesday. As you can imagine he was very shaken. I have been asked to pass on his thanks to all those that helped in the incident.

Thanks. It was really odd. One of those incidents which was completely out of the blue. I thought the two fighting behind me could have some issues at the right hander but thought I was well clear. The hit took me completely by surprise. After a terrible qualifying, I had actually made up around 8 places after 1.5 laps. Was a little gutting to be taken out after that!

Anyway, thanks to the guys who helped at Coram when I pulled up with the broken steering linkage. Shame the nose cone didn't last a bit longer!!

Its good to hear that he only suffered a broken hand, that could have been a hell of a lot worse, considering the incident.
