Podd37 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jean (John?) Denton

Hi guy's. I am looking for the where abouts / info on or anything at all on a driver called Jean, or maybe John, Denton. He ran a Fiat 128 in saloons in the very early 70's, sponsored or maybe run by Huxford. The car was a kind of yellow with lots of blue stripes colour and was left hand drive. It would have been a wide arched Grp 2 car but I dont know what class. I am trying to trace the car so maybe someone knows its whereabouts or that of the driver. Thanks.

From memory it was Mrs Jean Denton, not a chap! "Huxford for Fiat" were the sponsors, no idea whether she was connected the the company at all. Special saloons was the category, I don't recall the combination being especially quick.

Oops!! Apologies to Mrs Denton. Any ideas where the car may have gone to?

Sadly, It's a bit late to contact Jean Denton - she died in 2001 (as Baroness Denton, and having taken up politics as Conservative spokesman on something or other in the House of Lords).

Oh dear, this is not getting any better!!! Ok, does anyone know the whereabouts of her car? Or anyone that may have looked after it?
