Orange Overalls

As the latest Government proposal for those with a community sentence is to make them wear orange overalls to let everyone know who they are, I just wondered what you Marshals had been up to ? - Any Comments ?

That could solve the recently discussed problem ergarding a lack of marshals....

That's possibly the funniest thing I've ever read on here. Can't believe it didn't occur to me at the time.

Suggest the reducing numbers may be those who've completed their sentences.

But, how do you tell the difference between a criminal and a marshal?

They don't stink of Proban when it rains but we do!

The bleating, namby pamby nanny state would never allow anyone to be sentenced to being outside, getting wet & hungry, possibly in some physical danger, liable to abuse from irate drivers, not being thanked profusely for turning up, not getting home in time, burnt when the suns shining....No Way - Never happen......

Orange is for the ones who are out in the community. The ones that are locked up all day and not let out except for very brief periods of excercise(the really dangerous ones) wear blue.

I'm sure it's just coincidence!

Sorry not saying on the advice of my lawyer

Now is travelling to circuits going to be easier or harder, dressed in orange driving along in the earlier morning?

And what about Rail Track workers? Sorry now worked it out community service equals repairing rail track or standing by a race track.

Orange overalls equal track workers. This goverment has a one track mind and it is not Silverstone.

It is so nice to see a happy thread for a change, does this new order mean i will have to change from one set of overalls to another when not marshalling or can i just stay in my probans??

Some Questions.
Will they have to buy their own overalls?
Will they be allowed to have badges sewn on them?
Perhaps each police station could have badges. The wearers could then have badges for those stations they have attended or of course badges for cars they have stollen.
Could we have a crim. forum? They could then have 10 tenths badges.
Better not wear your overalls when travelling as you could get pulled over?

Obviously when I asked the question about the orange overalls I wasn't referring to the fine bunch of marshals who will be doing their duty at Lydden this weekend- any similarity between my name and the bloke in the TRC races is purely coincidental !

Hee hee this could be fun for me at work, cos guess where I work folks? And believe me they do get treated much better than us marshals do! Prisoners have rights, more than staff often. I know, we could swap roles, they can stand out in the rain and stuff and we'll sit aorund all day in a nice cosy room with tv and wc, room service, 24/7 security, laundry done for you. hmmmm????
