Chance to race for 3 hours on the Nordschleife

The "Endurance Racing Series" has announced an interesting calendar for those that want to race in 3 hour and 6 hour races in the UK, plus a 3 hour race on the Nordshchleife. Probably the only chance for UK racers and teams to race on the 'Ring without entering the VLN.

Autosport this week reporting that the ERS is cancelled due to lack of entries, but can't see any confirmation on their website. Not sure if that means the invite to Nordschleife is cancelled as well?

I heard something similar via the grapevine yesterday but I don't know whether the ERS was running its own race at the Ring or had been invited to provide entries in to someone else's race. If it's the latter maybe another club can pick up the baton?

My understanding is that the ERS were twinning up with another organiser in order to run the Nurburgring race - I think the shear number of cars required to make a Nordschleife race viable makes it very difficult for a small club to run their own race.

That's correct, I believe it was meant to be a non championship race for the other organisation hence a relatively easy option to slot in alongside them. Very sad as I was looking forward to it.
