My March Sports 2000 - tracing it's history etc...

Information required on a March 84s sports 2000 as per attached photo's
Can any one help me with any history of this car.
I bought it out of Scotland about 3 years ago & imported it to Australia.
It must have at some stage ran as a silhouette formula type car as it had a fibreglass saloon type bodyshell with it.
Any information would be appreciated.
Wardy.

Mightbe worth asking on the Sports 2000 forum:
http://www.sports2000-srcc.com/ as someone there will probably know the car.

Do you have any pics of the "special saloon" body tha the car had, as that may also jog afew memories?

Only 2 84S' in Britain in that year IIRC. The Richard Morgan/Plygrange car which was red, and the Bridge brothers, which was yellow I think. A few went to the US, and maybe a couple into Europe. I don't recall any being Scots based in period.

Andy i threw the special saloon body out as soon as i landed the container as i had no use for it.
Probably a mistake.
When i bought the car it came fitted with a turbo sierra motor fitted but not quite finished. Would have been good going through a mark 9 gearbox.
I will also check the sports 2000 forum

Barry, who did you buy the car from in Scotland?
Also, does the car have a chassis plate?

Chris

Chris, a mate of mine in Australia organised the car for me & he is also trying to find out information for me. I just thought any information i could find about the car would be helpful. It does have a chassis plate but i do not know if it is the right one.

I've decided to move this thread into here as we're talking about a particular car for the moment and not about a whole chassis run investigation.

Can anyone else help out with info, particulary with reference to its Scottish and special saloon/GT period?
