Seeking race car rental opportunites

Greetings from abroad,

I hope this is the appropriate forum for my question.

I am an experienced amateur road racer and rally driver from the United States.
I am planning to visit Australia and possibly New Zealand, Tasmania, etc in Sep or Oct this year.

My primary goal during my visit is to experience a couple wheel-to-wheel races on road courses in your part of the world. Failing that...V8 track days, etc are perfectly acceptable.

I wanted to see all my options before I decided on exact dates and/or tracks.

So, my question as follows:

Are there any Aussie race teams/organizations that rent wheel-to-wheel race cars for the weekend?
