Chris, I would say that the guru is your best bet.

I've very little experience with windmills in snail shells.

Show me a 1.3/1.4/1.6 8v Vauxhall, and I know where I am with them (familiarity breeds contempt they say!)

I'm learning more about these big banger V8's as the days go on.

As for engine basics, I would say that there is a problem with those springs, where they no longer meet the design spec for some reason... (or they never did!)

Rob.
(PS: Be careful, I'm a regular in the Wycombe/Stoke Mandeville/Amersham/Chalfont area at any time of the day!!)

So we're into split grid territory - how are the splits being done this year? (and what are the numbers looking like in each class?).

I am thinking of entering a mobile chicane if there is still room at the inn! The old Historic not the IROC, cause the pre-74's are on Saturday so may make a weekend of it especially as the Toyos are on as well looks a good weekend although my cars a bit big on the little tracks, be gentle with me when lapping me if I do though fellas its an old motorcar like its owner and I will get out of yer way just be patient! Hey Eric get your nephew to enter his Firebird and I will definitely do it!

Just seen Dave Fuller on the entry in his MG, this is almost becoming mandatory

No, I'm not here! This is a hologram typing this message...

I won't be at Lydden (Hooray everyone says - no oil on the track (except Pipe's!))

Work has gone potty - my "boy" has done a runner to Ireland for a week or so, and that's left me in it up to my eyeballs, with no time to work on the car, but one benefit - lots of extra filthy lucre for me - to put towards an ASCAR.

Rob.

Well I am not at all surprised as he certainly used to peddle that Pinto Capri about pretty damn quickly.

You had better get yer pushing boots on then Eddy :-) Mind you the lure of the Hoggies mught just be too much to resist. Me master cylinder fitted like a glove, bless those yanks with their parts interchangability philosophy. Just got to sweat the caliper seal rubbers get here on time thats the only thing as they only left the states today (I hope). I'll phone Chezza tomorrow and see what the situation is.
