prototype should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
48 entries for Petit Le Mans is a bit steep for me. I would be estatic with 40. How many cars can Road Atlanta field?

It's fielded at least 48, and I think even north of 50 on occasion, for PLM in the past. With how much pit road space they have, that shouldn't be a limiting factor. My best guess is that the limit is around 60 cars.

I think 48 is a reasonable expectation if the LMS class championships are still somewhat tight.

For an ALMS race 48 is pretty close to max. The LMS has already limited grid size due to FIA track rules. http://community.americanlemans.com/...ead/19644.aspx

Not saying it is set in stone though!

We perhaps don't normally do this, but as this has popped up, please use the new Post LM thread: http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97041

It'll give us a chance to recap and move forward.

If you would like to offer feedback on the style of these long threads drop one of us a PM and we'll see if we can get a feeling on how they go down.
