Grosjean accident
It's a miracle that he wasn't trapped altogether or concussed, great to see pictures of him sitting up in a hospital bed and smiling.

Sure he can thanks his luck not forgetting the marshal and doctor. With a full tank a simple FE is almost useless. Good racing gear too.

Goods news again for EB and Max at least, a new biography of La Castafiore comes out. Strange news, this "lady" is supposed to be the son of Farinelli aka Carlo Broschi… Well what do I know!

Do you have M&S tyres? Going to be great in a Caterham. Not. I suspect I will only be there until lunchtime.

If I'm allowed a little bragging, The Alfa Romeo Owners Club (of which I am a Board member) was voted Club of the Year by Classic and Sports Car magazine - award presentation was a virtual one instead of being made at the NEC Classic Car Show, but as it was a unanimous choice of the judges we're really happy.

We also were "Highly Commended" in the Best Virtual Club Event category for our Virtual Racing programme - I'll confess I only tried dabbling with this as my laptop is so ancient that it was forever freezing and I just couldn't get to terms with the lack of feel on the pedals, particularly the brakes. I've been kept busy stewarding, though!

The weather forecast, including the local forecast, currently (0700 on Thursday) indicates that Mallory should be ok tomorrow - the bad weather is forecast to circulate around the Midlands leaving us cold and dry

Yup, well done.

If we take the recent surveys at face value the classic car movement adds a serious amount of dosh to the country's coffers. Clubs like yours and MG, Triumph etc. should be given the recognition they deserve. All very well owning a Ferrari or Aston but it's the lesser classics with the larger number followers doing the financial donkey work.

But if it had not been for Alfa Romeo there may never have been a Ferrari! (not biased, just an AROC member!).
