andrewc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I suspect Autosport International will follow suit...

Edit: just checked their website, and the early January dates are now "to be confirmed"

I have a mole at Motorsport.com who says they're angling for a February date but given RR has postponed I'd be surprised if that worked.

Birmingham is tier 2 which is maximum of 2,000 people at an indoor event - so unless you are going to get into a massively complicated timed entry and time limit in the show, no events relying on big numbers of paying tickets (and being able to charge the exhibitors the same to be there), I doubt there will be any events there until Easter.

Harder for RR as it is all about a pre-season event, so it's exhibitors are race and event organsiers, clubs and those looking to sell to people preparing their car pre-season, if that to move into April would they get the same attendance for people and exhibtors.

We are due to exhibit there, but in April we are 'rolling' and have a busy events calendar, so would be unable to attend if that was the likely timeframe.

Birmingham is Tier 3, it'll do well to get out of tier 2 in 8 weeks.

I hear that the Race Retro people are looking for an event at the East of England Showground in Peterborough on March 27/28th.

That would be Race Revival being organised by Live Promotions who formerly ran Race Retro. They had a similar event planned for this year and as Peterborough Motor Club we had accepted the offer of a motor club stand. After I believe 2 date changes it was eventually cancelled.

Motorsport With Attitude has been relocated from Peterborough Show Ground to Farnborough and is to be held on 6/7 March next year. Well, planned to be held, I wouldn't bet the house on it.

To be fair, Peterborough show ground is fairly easy to get to. Not far off A1 and A47 and easier than Stoneleigh, particularly in the last few miles.

Yeah, but it's not the last few miles that concerns me - it's the first 200!

For me in the Lakes, it's about 20 minutes longer than Stoneleigh but as it's a pop up event it won't be anything on par with Race Retro and not worth going for two days. Even assuming COVID is clear by then,

Not sure what is meant by “a pop up event” as opposed to one at Stoneleigh which uses temporary halls and a barn for 1/2 of the content.
I have only been to the Peterborough show ground once but my memory is that there is a permanent exhibition hall and I don’t see why they couldn’t have additional indoor space within temporary e hibition structures.
The blurb also talks about outdoor exhibition space (presumably for larger exhibits?) and a rally stage (which hopefully has less point and squirt “90 rights/lefts” than Stoneleigh.
The success of the event depends on the quality and quantity of the exhibitors that are attracted!

To be equally fair - having checked, it is as Derwent says, only about 20 miles / minutes further away than Stoneleigh, according to Google maps. It just doesn't feel it.

The other problem, though, is that it clashes with CSCC's opening race weekend at Snetterton - so that's one club that won't be there!

Good point. I will be at Snetterton, too.
