Best looking 956/962?
I am just wondering what everyone's favorite Porsche 956/962s are? The car ran from 1982 to 1994, and it was almost like the twlight zone when it came back in 'GT' form in 94.
Heres my favorites: Dyson Porsche (perhaps the most extreme ever) Lyod Porsche (owed more to Lyod than Porsche with wheel caps, carbon tub, and a Jaguar style wing) 1988 Shell Porsche 1994 Shell Dauer Porsche 962 I also like the RAM Skoal Bandit and the Coke as well. What are you favorites? |

when i was like 6 years old, my neighbour had an r/c shell 962, i had no idea what it was untill a few years later. that was the car that sparked an interest in sports car racing. so the shell car is by far my favourite.

I don't suppose the Almeras freres needed to worry too much, they always trashed the car long before the end of the race anyway!!

This one ended up in the Mulsannes chicane's tire barrier.Yeah, it is kind of ugly, but it is also kind of good looking in a diferent way. Real different. I guess I like it because the decals were so old and bad that it was one of the worst projects I've ever had. So, I guess it is the difficult ones that generate the most pride.
I also built the 89 car, which is better looking. I think they crashed that one too. |

Err..this could be tough:
1990 Fuji Golf (purple) Marukatsu (orange and white) 1989 Marukatsu (black and white) Don't know other one!! Also my Dad drove the Penthouse Tiga in 1986. Most of his cars had Rizla sponsorship too. And Aysedasi, sorry!!!! The models you would get (if I could find them (or if my dad could (or whatever))) would be plain white because money was a bit tight!!! |

Ok, this is the best I could do. the vitesse group made the two purple and orange cars. You can still find them if you know where to look. In fact, they are a couple of years old so you might find a deal. They aren't as good as the (formerly vitesse) IXO models, but they were made right as the company started improving their products, so they are still pretty good and a lot better than a holin the collection.
If you can't find these, I will check my suppliers. In fact, we can put out a request right here and now. Maybe that will stir it up. Anyone got any of these to sell or trade? |

And here is the other one. I may know where there is a Penthouse Tiga kit, but don't get too excited just yet as I may not be able to pry it away from the guy.
