Il Pantera Rosso, what the heck is this? Surely not a Siata V8?
I'm not quite sure where to post his, but here goes.
A South African friend has just bought this old heap, origin unknown, underslung rear axle, no engine or gearbox, steel frame, ali body. Presumably the Ford Classic Capri/Reliant Scimitar windscreen and flares are a seventies update? Somebody must know what it is, it looks too well built to be a one off home built special, over to you. |

Interesting one, Mike! Could go in 2 or 3 forums, I'll leave it here for a while, and then move it to another so that everyone gets a look. Quite a pretty little thing although the additional flares do it no favours.

GSM Delta......
There is a theory, that came with the car, that Willie Meissner, the M in GSM was involved, but, the Delta was fibreglass and in a much more 'modern' style than this car. Though the windscreen looks similar, but less well done. Possibly it is a prototype, a predecessor, of the Delta, in aluminium, as the style is somewhat more early sixties? Somebody out there must know......... |

Let's try History, next. If no joy there, either, I'll move it to Classic Car.

I looked through Turner sports cars: there are quite a variety of body styles, and several had some similar lines. You might want to browse there for a while.
Other than that, I vote for Alfa Healy ! I agree with Zac, it's a nice design. |

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? Would still be very interesting to learn the identification of this car.

Mike you are still looking in; excellent.
So has your friend made any progress with the car at all? Has the manufacture of the suspension and rear axle been identified to give us any pointers? I agree with your original post that it looks too good to be a home brewed special. |
