Silverstone F1 Testing?
Hi,
Heard a rumour that you can get into Silverstone testingsessions for free. Is this so? If so when are the testing days and what F1 teams will be there? Thanks for any info.

It is indeed free. You can watch from anywhere from the complex to Copse.
Who is there? Testing dates are planned and get to be known. I think Jordan are there around now (?). I think they do get put on the Silverstone website. Unfortunately there isn't any up at the moment. http://www.silverstone-circuit.co.uk/ There were rumours of a test 4-5 Feb and 25th Feb. Have these been confirmed? Damn those dates are during the week and I have a fulltime 8.30-5.30 job  Time to book a few days off I think I just want to make sure that there will be F1 there though thats all. I'll keep an eye on the silverstone website.

I booked the 4th off work to go up to Silverstone.
Only Jordan are running there on the 4th and 5th. I was hoping there would be a few more teams there, but the glutton for punishment I am I'll probably head up there anyway. Jordan sneakily gave the EJ-14 it's first shake-down on Monday on the quiet. On Wednesday (tomorrow) they'll be running the EJ-14 for it's first proper test along with an EJ-13. There's a 50% chance of rain. Am I mad or what?? |

Any news of the test on 23rd-25th Feb at Silverstone? Who is expected to be there? Is one day likely to see more action than the others?

Renualt will be there on the 23rd-25th of feb
The main pre BGP test is June 1st-3rd all teams apart from minardi and sauber at mo. Although sauber are due to test May 11th-13th. Also phone line will up date you with dates as year goes on. 01327320384 |

Silverstone F1 testing dates are, April 13/14/15, April 27/28/29, May 11/12/13, June 1/2/3, July 13/14/15, SEPT 14/15/16. Try the British Racing Drivers' Club switchboard on 01327 850920 they might know a man who knows a man who knows who is testing each day. Tom Barnard
