pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What has happened to the Brit Gt?

Has anyone else noticed the depleated field in the GTs class of the Brit GT? There is neither of the two marcos and many other teams have dropped out leaving just the top three , lister , tvr and the viper. where have they all gone?

I have been following the Gt Championship since the start of the season and agree the field has become very small, only 4 at Castle Combe but reading Autosport and speaking to the TVR team they are expecting a few more at Brands due to the demise of the Interactive Sports Car races. Hopefully should make the race a little busier but as long they stay behind the speed 12 I will be happy!!

there are 2 reason why the field is smaller.

1. Some team went over to the Interactive Sportscar Championship.

2. Some teams don't the finance to compete this year.

Reason number 2 is why Lockie is nopt defending his title, Cor Euser and the Marcos don't have the money to compete and he can't get another drive. There is a nice mix of cars thought, Lister, TVR, Viper, Quaife (not at every round, cos of engine problems), Lotus (back since ISC went belly up), Marcos (did a couple), Ultima (same as Quaife), Porsche, (as Lotus).

The other teams that have quit the ISC may join British GT, they are Brookspeed Viper, Mike Haines Lotus (already one 1 round, as mentioned above) and Pro-Tran Racing Venturi.
