Trans-Ams/Rolling Starts for State Races

Cars complying with Trans Am regulations will be allowed to compete at State level as of 2006. The move was brought about by the Victorian ASSA and has apparantly been adaopted in both NSW and Queensland as well.
The Trans-Am cars will not at this stage be eligible for State series points. As part of the move regulations may be modified to allow for rolling starts as well.
The adoption of Trans-Ams in the Victorian State Championship may allow the ASSA (Victoria) to run extra rounds of their category club championship at both PI and Winton as part of the CAMS National Series.
At this stage the Sports Sedans are looking at only 3 CAMS State rounds due to the impass between members of the VSRS executive and Winton Motor Raceway.
