A quick glance through his Filmography gives plenty of possibilities, but the actual stories dont fit.

How about 'The Green Light' (1937), Murder at Monte Carlo (1935), Northern Pursuit ( 1943), Against All Flags (1952) or the Short Film in 1938 called 'Breakdowns of 1938'!!

'Grand Prix', surely. Pete Aron (James Garner) drove for a Japanese team in the film. It came out when John Surtees was driving for Honda, I believe, and a lot of the fictional characters were loosely based on contemporary GP drivers.

Absolutely right John. It is an original lobby photo from the U.S.A. release of the film "Grand Prix".

Right boys and girls. I am afraid that you will have to wait until I get to work tomorrow as the picture I am trying to post has crashed the home computer 3 times (obviously taken from a specialist website ) and rather than risk losing my children's Club Penguin/Call of Duty/Gran Tourismo 4 etc records I obviously need to risk losing something less vital on my work computer...such as last week's work or time sheet!!!

Should be up before 10.00 a.m. tomorrow

Best

Yes, please be sure of copyright issues, and it really is supposed to be one of your own pics.
