Matski has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
What is the BEST Die Cast you own?

Simple question. Between all of us here we must have some pretty impressive scale models.

What is the best one you own - or the one you would like to own?

Is it because it's rare? or the workmanship is excellent? or it is a model of a truly standout car?

p.s. Yes another standard "whats the best" thread!

1:18 2005 Ambrose #1 Pirtek Falcon by Classic Carlectables. Though it might be upstaged by the Jack Daniel's Commodore that's on the way.

Hey J-C, another JC here. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the 1.43 JDR cars... What about you?

Well I have a few but my favourite I think would have to be my 1:18 scale 1988 Le Mans winning Jaguar XJR9-LM signed by Martin Brundle and produced by Exoto, no decals everything is hand painted.

Hi Chatters, yep, am looking forward to the 1:43 JDR cars coming out (hopefully in the next week or two) - usually if both cars are the same livery I'd just get 1 but the livery is great so I think I'll get both the Richards and Dumbrell cars. Already got the 2006 1:43 SBR cars and the CAT car which are great models.

I think the 1:43 CC models are the most detailed diecast on the market, and even including shipping are cheaper (£23 vs £25) than Minichamps which have nothing like as much interior or underside detail.

Hi Nickyf1, my Ambrose Falcon cost around £70 imported from Australia. However, I believe the 2002-onward Classic Carlectables models are considerably more detailed than the older cars - for example all 4 doors, bonnet and boot open on the 1:18s and there's masses of detail.

Yeah J-C, you gotta be quick to get your hands on those JDR cars- They're selling like hotcakes here because this is first year in a loooooooooooong time that a car has had primarily alcohol sponsorship.

My Jeff Gordon 2004 model I bought at the Daytona 500. It's the sentimental value really, because boy, what a day that was.

Interesting thread...posing a very tricky question for me!

I am going to say either my Ayrton Senna Collection of 1:43 scale models, or my original Corgi 1:18 scale JPS lotus from 1972, not in perfect condition, but I love that car and feel quite lucky to own the original corgi model.

You can find some real bargains at car boots and antique shops!

1:18 1998 Minichamps Eddie Irvine Marlboro Ferrari signed by the very man himself. Very sentimental and obviously worth quite a bit as well which is cool.

THE Model I would love to have is the Rothmans Ayrton Senna 94 car that was released just before the Tobbaco Advertising ban.

I import them from Australia - I think there's 1 UK dealers that sells a limited range of the cars but it's cheaper to import direct.

Pity you're in Melbourne amonfan, I would've bought from you if you were in NSW!

Did you get any of the JDR cars in? How fast did they sell?
