Apparently the crash will be shown according to this report....have seen it in a couple of papers as well.

Unlikely Jeremy said that as he said, only last week, that the BBC were still undecided whether or not they would show it, although he expected it would be shown as 'every man and his dog are desperate to see the little fella trying to kill himself' or something like that.

And thanks for making me open a link to Hello Magazine too... Hope no one checks out the viewing history on this PC now...

Well I think its down to Hammond rather than Top Gear, but haveing seen what his personality is like on the show I'm not suprised that its going to be shown.

Can't wait to for top gear to be back on!!

I'd bet my house on it!

Checked out the pictures today as they were in the paper. Looks quite hideous really, although I hardly expected a light brush with a cotton wool barrier with Richard landing fortunately on a marshmallow landing pad.

I can't imagine what it is like moving. I'm no fan of crashes, but it'll be interesting to see exactly what the little man battled through.

I saw some pretty bad dragster crashes on some digital channel over Christmas so I am ready the main danger really would have been had it burst into flames...obviously, fortunately that didn't happen.

And Clarkson has already made so many comments about Hamster's accident that no doubt he has a whole list of further quips to make during the forthcoming series.

Having looked at the pictures it appears that if the left front wheel had blown and not the right front then he would of barrel rolled straight into the rescue units.

Will be interesting to see the video tonight and then again on youtube a few hours after that.

No doubt he'd seen the footage before they filmed last night's show, but still it must have been mighty difficult for Hammond to watch images of something that could so easily have ended far worse for him. The footage from the run before the crash was incredible though, to see and hear the adrenaline rush he experienced from using the afterburner for the first time.
