Anybody else hear about the rumors of the C7 going to possibly a midengined layout? http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/01/...gine-corvette/
Could throw a wrench in my thoughts from the ALMS 07 thread moving the C6R down to GT2 and making it more like the street Z06 but could make for a great GT1 car or basis for a LMP1 Vette prototype

Rumors and that is all; Chevy never quits looking at the style but even the Corvette has to be semi-utilitarian (Chevy received a huge amount of complaints about the lack of storage space in the Shark cars, compared to the Sting Ray) and while year one might sell well, reality would set in, - year two.

The C7 will not come out until the 2012 Modle year. i.e. Introduced in Jan of 2011 and released for sale in Sept of 2011 as a 2012 modle.

So you have a little time.

and the mid engine is just a rumor.
