Can't hurt to ask Ian

Thanks but you haven't seen them all another Ben won at Silverstone a fantastic result as well as being his first win and taken in style with pressure through the entire race.

I thought the URS guys were on the 200 Circuit. I would have thought that gearing for the 300 layout will be even more of a compromise than usual.

Sounds like most of the URS boys were using the same gears as the old circuit Ben. One of the quicker drivers is saying use an 18/32 instead of a 19/32 for second. That will be with a 10/31CWP.

Both Ian and Bob Pearson without a shadow of a doubt ran 18/32 for second gear and changed to that as a result of 19/32 not working. I ran 19/32 becuase it was all we had but was having to go down to 1st gear for the new hair-pinn (where sear used to be) and I was just losing a load of time so in the end we borrowed a different second gear and changed it half way through the meeting.

The speed you carry onto the main straights is slightly different as the corners before them are different. We were advised to run a longer 4th so put a thruxton 4th in and it didnt work so we changed back down to a normal snet 4th. Having said that we've since found out my engine is only runnig on 3 and a bit cylinders so it didnt really matter what top I had in! I suspect the normal Snetterton 4th would not be far out

Cheers guys I went with the normal snett gears in the end and it seemed fine for the majority of the 300 track

Great fun track looking foward to the race, although coram is really challenging and braking for murrys is exciting I can see accidents happening there very easily.
