If you are interested then pm me.

I will do my upmost effort to make sure this meeting and the others I am involved with are nothing like the Feb meeting.
See you both there,
Rich.

I will be one of the clerks this meeting. A lot of effort has been put into ensuring the meeting runs effectively. The entry is full. Another supercar added in the last couple of days, a Suburu!!! All in all it should a great meeting.

Just to add to rzsio's comments any more marshals will be warmly welcomed.

Lets hope it all runs smoothly with little or no time wasting, nothing Joe Public likes to scream about more than sitting around watching a few Officials faffing around on an empty track. Which I sure won't be the case this weekend.

I can personally guarentee no faffing and if there is anything that causes a delay the commentator will be kept informed, so he can relate that to Joe Public.

All I'll say is that I'm really looking forward to Monday, Rallycross at its best.

The rally cross at Lydden usually runs hell for leather - this is partly the attraction, I for one am also fed up with all the faffing around that goes on at some club meetings - sometimes I wish you could just get on the radio and tell them to "get on with it".

That said I agree with Upside Down Bug Rally cross is the best at Lydden Hill. I'll be trying to get there for that one!

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the startline crew, marshals, BRDA staff, circuit staff and medical/rescue and of course all the drivers and there crews for all there hard work at todays meeting. The super car final was a great showdown and top racing was had from all categories.
Also for the huge crowd that turned up showing how popular Raly X is in Britain.
To those that won on the raffle I hope you enjoy your prizes.
Once again Thanks to all,
Regards,
Richard Sneader.
Chief Marshal, BRDA SE Region.

A big thanks from me for the officials who kept the meeting running swiftly. Delays between paddock and grid were minimum, and despite a few teething problems with the sensitivity of the jump start beams, we still finished ahead of schedule. And I'm certainly going to enjoy my karting at Lakeside that I won in the raffle!

From the Clerks team I just want to thank everybody who did such a fantastic job on Monday. The marshals did everything they could and alot more. The standard of all the reports was excellent, and the drivers should now be aware that they will not get away with any questionable moves.
I have two apologies to make, one to Post 3 for giving him writers cramp and one to Uncle Fester for making him do all that exercise.
It was good to see Mad Hats up on the startline where he belongs.
I hope they have the XXXXL karts at Lakeside.

Once again thanks everyone, and I wish I had a taker for my bet at the start of the day.

What a crowd too!!!!!!!!!

If they're not XXXXL when I start then they will be by the time I finish!

You're unlucky UDB - I nearly took your bet at the start of the day - glad I didn't.

We'll have to organise a BBQ for the August meeting - something to do while we wait for the crowds to depart.

See you all on the 5th May hopefully.

Just to add to the above - a most brilliant day of Rallycross - motor sport at its VERY best.

I think the outstanding number of spectators (anyone know exactly how many ? - the whole car park and the overflow in the top field were packed solid) really proves how our sport of Rallycross appeals to those who want their sport fast and furious.

It has been found that peoples attention spans are getting ever shorter - TV shows have about 12 minutes between advert breaks (time it if you don't believe me)and so it seems to me that the time for Rallycross to hit the big time is now. Even discussing it on ten-tenths helps to bring it to to peoples attention.

Finally, a note of thanks to everyone at Lydden last Monday for a really good days marshalling - as Upside Down Bug said on the day - it is all about teamwork and I wouldn't argue with that for a second.

Hog and Gnomex, 'er indoors is working in the afternoon but I'll probably marshall the Sprint and revert to spectating the races with littl'un in the afternoon, so I expect that I'll see you both there in one capacity or another ( does that qualify as semi retirement? )

The crowd at Lydden was some what exceptional and they were certainly entertained, Pauline and the rest of the circuit staff were run off their feet coping with all the demands. However at the end of the day they were glad to see everyone go.......................home happy

Yup - providing the tribe are all over their ailments I'll be there - whether I make it for the whole day or just the afternoon I don't yet know.

Apparently Men & Motors are showing the Lydden rallycross on May 17th @ 9pm - thanks to Robin Plummer for the video clips and the tv schedule!
