RECs to be tendered early next year.

Unsurprisingly, Mr Taylor and Mr Adderton have been linked to making attempts to purchasing them on the meantime.

Interestingly, Holdsworth to Tickford hasn't been mentioned on Speedcafe, finding lately they don't post anything until it is confirmed, leaving the sensationalist stuff to others, unless they receive a media release to regurgitate or paid to post something

(Motorsport.com)

Strong interest in new entries for 2020
https://www.supercars.com/news/champ...ries-for-2020/

He is also confident the grid will return to 26 cars in 2020, based on the current level of interest.

Xtracs for all in 2019

If a team has to buy a couple of complete units per car, and all the spare gears/bearings/stuff, isn’t that more expensive than maintaining what is already in use?

And drop the bum out of the used Albins market, like the day Supercar went sequential...

Long term it has to be better, the maintenance required to keep the Albins working has been ridiculous.

I think Albins ruffled a lot of feathers when they said the catagory needed to change some rules (introduce paddle-shift) to make their product work with some sort of reasonable lifespan.

I'm all for paddle-shift, but perhaps the numbers didn't stack up with regards to developing a system, and then implementing it into every car on the grid, as opposed.to just simply dumping Albins?

Supercars aims to expand wildcard opportunities

The championship is actively encouraging teams to enter wildcards in 2019 to complement the regular 24 car field which will participate next year.
A move to increase wildcard entries has been a focus for Supercars in recent years following the successful launch of the Super2 wildcard program in 2017.

Whats the qualification process when applying for a Wildcard? Cheap way of getting a limited program run if you do every Wildcard round possible without having to pay for a REC

I wonder who there has the ability to engineer and develop a car other people can drive.

If you wanted to know the real success of 888, its the fact that it isn't that hard to get speed out of them.

Heard they've no frozen all engine development now as well. If true that will be a kick on the pants for local builders and teams who will likely have designs in the pipeline.
