Most exciting Red-Wash so far?

so which was the 'best' race of 2004 after round 5.. which one did you enjoy the most....

Australia- MS and Rubens 30 secs ahead of the field

Malaysia- MS goes for a Sunday drive...

Bahrain- atleast it had overtaking action... MS wins from Barrichello

Imola- the first time we have someone else on pole, but wait MS wins my 16 secs

Spain- MS wins from pole but atleast Trulli gave a good start...

Er. Ooh, er, um, sheesh, that's a difficult one. You must be desperate to start a thread like this. I mean who's going to answer it sensibly? There's all sorts of questions involved in the reply, like which team do you support? Who are your favourite drivers? Are you in any way related to Herman Tilke? All those things will need to be made public before anybody can simply answer the question.

BTW. What was the question again?

I'll choose secret option number 6, Monaco GP where it will be a Reno 1-2 and both Ferraris will fail! :

To answer the question, seriously: Australia. Took my girlfriend (now fiance) to the race, we didn't even look at a screen, but camped ourselves down at turn 3 and had a ball before making our way down the pit straight and to the back of the corporate area where my fiance was allowed into the pit paddock and got for herself quite a few autographs.

Otherwise, they've all been boring.

The thread is about racing, not what you did down at Turn 3 'cos the racing was **** :-)

Good question what happened at Turn 3 Dixie?? BTW man don't do it, a wedding is a major major pain in the arse. I know, I am getting married on 5th June in 4 weeks time.

Other than that, this last GP was the first in 9 years that I did not watch. That shows you how excited I am about f1. It is more than sad, if you ask me.

Congratulations to those on this thread planning to marry (am feeling quite left out know!)

From a racing point of view, Malaysia and Bahrain were pretty decent with a bit of overtaking and I think that both of those circuits are pretty interesting too.

Schuey's pole lap at Bahrain, Button's at Imola, and Webber's 2nd at Malaysia were the 'Qualifying highlights'!

I watched the start of the last GP and thought it might be a good one but once TGF had got in front of Trulli at the 1st pitstops I gave up watching and went out. I wouldn't mind TGF/Ferrari winning so much if they actually overtook cars on track "waiting for fuel stops" is BORING.

Motorsport should be about on track action not which pit crew is best or who can do the best in/out laps. Get rid of refuelling and tyre stops - make them pass each other on the track. TGF didn't even think about putting a move on Trulli - he knew he could wait until the stops. Dull. Dull. Dull.

Back on topic (at last!) Bahrain was the best race this year - there was actually some action and for once we got to see it instead of watching the Ferraris droning around at the front.

Yeah, probably Bahrain as it was a new track and therefore something different.

The Bahrain race was really exciting, with a lot of action down the field and some real suspense at the end as Montoya slipped back (although that was disappointing form my perspective). The first few laps in Spain and Imola were good, and Australia wasn't too bad.

None of 'em sorry, but it's F1 so I'll always watch.

Catalunya was pretty dull, as usual...

You know, one of the reasons why Trulli got in front so easily was because they do stop to refuel. If they'd be filled up with gas, and having super hard tyres and you wouldn't enjoy not even first 10 laps.

Yeah, I did think that might be the case but how often do you hear drivers saying things like "I just waited for the fuel stops"? It really annoys me, racing should be about what happens on the track NOT what happens in the pits.

(I seem to remember us having this argument before Red )

Exciting and Red-wash are contradicting concepts.

No, you can't. Willy and Macs and the other boys constantly try this however, but so far it proves that the paint is unaffected.
