I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s points scoring - it isn’t like it was a story hidden away somewhere obscure. It was on the official website, Autosport site, TouringCarTimes, TouringCars.net, Checkered Flag and the respective social channels, and also on the team and driver social channels.

Bobby T is backing up his non driving announcement by not testing the Cupra today at Brands.

Credit to them being out early (first of the year?) in testing though. This must be the first year of NGTC without any new (shape) cars on the grid? Barring a surprise announcement! |

the fact that he is not linked to everything by this stage really and number of free seats starts to dwindle

for someone who is very media-savvy as him you expect some buzz , but complete radio silence so far, meanwhile the competitive seats start to fill up

I reckon if it isn't a Neal in that third Dynamics seat this year, it'll be that man Jason Plato.
He's been linked to Speedworks and BTC Racing, but the latter unfortunately now appears very unlikely (this was where I was most hoping he'd end up), and while he could still be at Speedworks that too seems more unlikely now, with Butcher and Collard heavily linked. But going to Dynamics just makes sense. I can't imagine he would be retiring without informing the paddock before Brands Hatch, as he is very much someone you would expect to want a big send-off, and I can't imagine he wouldn't be able to get a drive on the grid at all if he still wanted one as he is such a famous name and also still a strong driver. He might be at Speedworks, and my ideal situation would be Plato at Speedworks and Neal at Dynamics (assuming he's not at BTC and Dynamics aren't going to buy the fourth TBL if BTC don't use it, because these both seem incredibly unlikely). But I reckon he could be in that Dynamics Honda for his final season in the championship. |

Also, crmalcolm said a while ago that a former champion would be moving seats for sponsorship reasons. It is not Sutton, who was confirmed at the time, and Shedden is now confirmed to be staying with Dynamics, and Turkington all but confirmed at WSR. That only leaves Plato, who was leaving PMR anyway, regardless of sponsorship reasons. But maybe this meant that Matt Neal was signing Plato, rather than racing himself as he clearly wants to, as the team needed the money from Plato’s sponsorship. Therefore, a former champion switching teams because of sponsorship.

That all depends if all the i's are dotted and t's crossed. He won't go around dropping any teasers if all the parts aren't set yet.

It's been very quiet so far, announcements have been slow. I don't think it's any different for Plato than it is for others.

Last time, we were at 24(ish) confirmed drives. One of them was Cammish at Dynamics. One was an either / or at Dynamics. One was Crees at BTC. |

Does anyone know what the date/s are for the 3 day testing and media days are; I have tried to Google it, but haven't found the answer?
