Here is an article I remember from a year ago, stating that PMR have intentions to change cars in 2017.

From the article: "The team are planning to continue with their pair of Cruzes in 2016 before changing cars in 2017 – ideally with manufacturer support."

Any thoughts? Given Hunter Abbott's late year qualifying the performance the Cruze is still showing reasonable performance.

Maybe, but remember the article was from last year so PMR's plans may well have changed!

Not strictly 2017 gossip, but Rob Austin is racing in Legends at Brands Hatch next weekend.

PMR lost their mojo after they lost Josh Cook, the didn't come close to a podium the whole year...

so unless they get proper drivers that won't change regardless what cars they get

...and it was also Tordoff's first season in that car.
Fair enough, just had a look through the 2015 stats and they seemed pretty evenly matched. Still think Priaulx would've been in with a good shout of the title.

I suspect they're trying everything they can to get Dave Newsham in one of the cars for next season - they pulled the plug on the Rallycross to focus on getting him back in the BTCC for 2017.

Hunter was usually mega in qualifying, albeit on zero ballest admittedly but seemed to be the unluckiest driver in the races

Very true i would love to see them retain Hunter albeit i dont see it happening with Newsham alongside. I wonder if Handy will reunite Abbott and Austin in which case I suspect someone new and quick along side Newsham much like when the introduced Cook into the championship

It would be a smart move to get Newsham back, he usually gets a car up higher than perhaps it should be IMHO

Saw that Bob Moffat said they'd weight up all options ahead if next year! Obviously that's one of them. Could mean there is a spare Merc for someone next year, plus Ciceley were looking at building more. Wonder if it Jordan fancies seeing a Pirtek liveried A class?

Would be a good move for him, although I assume his Laser sponsorship is now finished as surely that would be competition to Silverline?

Either way I'm looking forward to see what he gets up to, quick driver with all the time in the world ahead of him to get better.

Can't see it working in the long run, not enough 'teammate' experience, he still drives all out for himself and seemed to clash a fair bit with Morgan this year and it's those sorts of antics that'll wind up Mr P!

Do we draw from this that the Levorg's will be sold and a new BMR Subaru next year, which would add to thoughts we've had on the forum the BKR might get two Levorg's next year?

either that or BMR could build the car and not run it to avoid the conflicting sponsorship or it could be the Moffat Moves to BKR to provide some sponsorship but i would say its way too early into silly season to tell

Perhaps they're just joining the car constructors like motorbase and dynamics who sell cars to customers.

Then half the bloody field will be in JP's pocket!

Wild thought though... maybe Moffat's getting some RWD testing in because Cicely have suggested they may be building a new RWD car for next year?!

Moffat will also be testing GT4 and GT3 machinery so he's obviously having a good look around to see what the best option is for next season.

It would be a good move for the rising star Moffat to go with a Scooby, the car is suddenly becoming the car to have

I know Cicely have been touting some other drivers recently too.

It would be interesting to see what Wix do, their sponsorship was around £200k per year but required a lot of hospitality.
