Budgets in FR and F3
Has anybody 'inside information' about how much you gotta pay for a seat in quality team ? In FR and F3 I mean. And what kind of insurances there is ? I've just heard about some guys spending around 700000 pounds for f3 ride...where these kids get the money?!

The amount of sponsorship on the side of drivers' cars will give you a clue as to where their money may be coming from, if you get my meaning.
UK FR is up to £170,000 (although I think the teams have realised finding that sum these days ain't easy and have cut a few deals if necessary). I do know that at least one driver last season was a race-winner on a budget under £100,000 - comparable to Formula Ford. UK F3 is around £275,000 Scholarship (talking to one team manager) and £400,000 championship class. Again if you goup to someone and plonk 80% of the full budget on the table, then I'm sure it would make a few team managers to reconsider. |
