Not correct, the 007 is raced by SRT in the Belgian Belcar Championship. Don't know what happened with the chassis that had a fire at Sears Point with Dale Earnhard jr. At least 3 chassis are available, maybe four.

Right, I thought of the Earnhardt chassis after I posted, and it didn't occur to me that the Belcar chassis would be 2003 vintage for some reason.

So three chassis available (assuming 1-4 are not) then.

The "Spyker squadron" team will enter 2 cars, and I think they are the "works" Spyker team.

Spyker Squadron Spyker Spyders, a track announcer's dream!

They will run with LMP type roll over hoops? I would think it would ruin the effect if they had some sort of full cage.

good question skycafe. I wonder if there's a photo of it anywhere on the net...

always thought it C12 Coupe (or whatever you call it) was just the oddest looking machine, but that had a lot of good lines to it nonetheless. Yes, i'm all about aesthetics, its in my phojo blood.

Just got confirmation from Nasamax that they will not need to be at Sebring. So you can take off that entry. They will be doing the LMES and 24hours only.

www.dailysportscar.com today mentions in the Cirtek Motorsport news that some of Cirtek's Porsches have been changing hands, most noteably the 2004 RSR that ran in the LMES this year - a team is apparntly planning on running it at Sebring in 2005. Excellent bit of news.

..and Cirtek will also run a 360GTC at Sebring, (plus PLM and Laguna according to DSC)

49 cars so far if tblincoe is correct. I'd like to see another 6 cars to make it 55.

I like that there will be at least 15 LMP cars! Hopefully a few more and a great field is in the works!!!

i would be happy to see a solid 45 car grid. i think thats where it is going to be at.

larbre could run 1 more car, and that Mid American Vette team only announced one car.. and then do we have confirmation that PK Sport and Freisinger will be at Sebring? what about RML and Jota? last i heard from Jota was that they will be at sebring if they have enough money. so count that as a 50/50...

isn't acemco running two cars at sebring, petite, and laguna seca, and because nasamax dosent need to run to sebring to get into le mans dosen't meen they won't run it. the gt1 and 2 are looking great though, very international. better than last year, what about the morgan works team, any news on them?

Strange how nobody else has reported this, nothing on DSC, or LMSR or anywhere else for that matter. I think we can include Nasamax on the entry list for now.

as for nasamax, if they say directly that they won't be at sebring, thats better than hearing it from dsc and esp. lmsr... so i'm taking them off the list.

as for ACEMCO, they did say they would run two cars at the enduros a while back, but the current trend suggests that they will run only one car again for 2005...

Saleen S7R, the reason noone else has reported this, is most likely because DSC and/or LMSR haven't contacted Nasamax in the time that the team was a "maybe" and now where they are a "definite no."

I've worked with the team in the past and I know the press contact. When I sent out my yearly xmas notes, I asked her if I'd see her at Sebring, or if I'd have to wait until LM. She let me know that they do not need to attend Sebring in order to satisfy the ACO, so they will save money and stay in Europe for 2005.

I understand everyone's hesitating but does everyone beleive this now?

i believe it... makes sense to me. they need the $ to develop the new evolution of the car as well as get two cars running in the LMES
