Tenthers to the rescue

Just as the FJ cars we’re leaving assembly area for first race a competitor from New Zealand top hose blew off . Bonnet off and found problem . I said it was too late to sort but Mr Hadfield had other ideas . With his truck to hand and a new jubilee clip we fitted hose back on and filled up cooling system and he got out . Well he did not as ***** in control room would not let him join the race a lap down . Someone needs to point out that we are just having a bit of fun .

Politically Cowect

As sevewal wegular postwers on this fowum will know, BBC Look East TV featuews a young, back, female news pwesenter, who as you may have gwessed has a pwonounced lisp.

Each mowning we hewe about the wampant wise in awed wobbewey, and knife cwime in the Nowfolk, and Nowich awea.

While I wish the lady well, I do feel that it is yet another example of PC gone mad, when picking someone for a job, any job, the right qualities and skills should determine the best candidate not some insane desire to pwove how 'all embwacing' your organisation is.

Want owew,

Further proof as if it were needed that the world led by the BBC is going bonkers, the only wonder is that they don't actually say - ethnic lesbians only need apply on their job adverts.

You can also indicate if you like "co renting" but I dunno the conditions. 350 for the meeting, for one box is sure. Boxes are located along the pitlane, are permanent style, have two massive rotating doors, one opening on the pitlane the other on the "pré-grille". Is that pre-grid? In the boxes area, you find toilets, race direction and not far from toilets you can have average quality beer. Pizzas I'm not sure.
I dont know your cars, but I guess the gearbox pinions and cwp shouldn't be that far from the one used for Monaco (one tight hairpin climbing a hill). No guarantee about that of course!
Bit worrying that the beer is not far from the toilets, Gerard! Which came first?

Fairly confident that I’m not going to be driving round Europe in a 16.5 metre rig for too many more years, so a motor home and trailer appeals for my own racing. Just wondered what the towing limit of one of these is....

With our national speed limit dropping from 90 to 80kp/h you won't need anything too fast over here!

Quite right John! While I had the renewal of my driving licence special trailer stamp, had a look to the new regulations… Couldn't believe it. On the highways maximum speed is 90 km/h, same as big trucks. I know some who dont do their job properly because I've been caught above 130 km/h with the trailer and the discussion was around what was on the trailer. Not the speed limit!

I have to say that I'm seriously impressed with Willie Poole http://wp-ms.co.uk/Willie_Poole_Moto...hat_we_do.html

Ken C gave him the car on Friday last week and collected it today, fully straightened. It means we can retain the original structure. Still got panels, suspension and painting to do but the main chassis has been rescued.

I suspect Mike Bell knows him.

I of course realise other engineers are available.
