32 cars, you've got to be joking!
Ok, sending only 32 to NZ is fair enough, but tony cochrane must have some rocks in his head. They have worked so hard to get big grids, and now they are telling competitors to rack off, your not wanted anymore...i hope it seriously backfires and Tony gets burnt over it...
Just about all of the tracks they race at these days have big grid capacities, and have been forced to have the facilities to cater for large grids....but next season there will be many more than 32 professional cars up and running, and telling 6-10 teams, which would be worth millions of dollars to rack off, is a little rude. Shouldn't they be taking care of their competitors, not showing them the door? Another thing, the lights are a "development class". but for what? there isn't a hope of them ever graduating up into the big league with this **** going on... People wont be happy going back to lights with the utter ****-poor crowd they got...Toca would have been proud of the first 2 turn outs, despite both events being flogged in pre radce advertising. |

Spot on.
28 cars now!? Would have been an outrageous restriction at the time, with good reason, and it still is even if everyone is used to the small grids. |

The Stock Car Brazil had so many entry bids that they developed a promotion and relegation system: the worst teams of the main category get relegated to the second-level Light championship, whereas the best teams of the second division get promoted. That could be an attractive solution to the V8SA overpopulation.

Try telling someone who spent $1-2 million on a REC that it'll be given to someone else next year and see what happens..
