Don't do what a neighbour of mine did before their first visit to Spa. Spent days studying the layout in a circuit guide only to find on first lap that had learned the old version of bus stop.....

Will be there in Barry's Race. Well , sent off entry fee so hopefully in Barry's race

I would have gladly taken you up on your offer Gordon, you would be a great asset to the Team. But I arranged to do it with Craig Davies as I was already partnering Craig in his Vette in the 6 hrs, so when I learnt the Sunbeam was eligible for this race Craig obviously wanted the seat

I'm also doing a 40 min 2 driver @ Cadwell this Sat & a 30 min @ Snetterton the following Saturday, but Phil Seaman is partnering me.

I will sort something for next season with you Gordon, stay in touch

A mere youngster compared to Whizzo Gordon
Theres plenty more life in the Old Dog yet!!
I will not make it my business to coach you out of retirement, at least once next season, you have only driven the Bullet on a very wet Brands Indy, now with the new Ohlins & upgraded Motor it is awesome,
At the Heritage a few weeks ago she did a 1.37.45 round Brands GP, with no wing, and on Khumo Road tyres, she is on fire at the minute & will make you smile from ear to ear

I suspect JR will confirm that there is only one real car in the 6hrs anyway, so I don't think it matters does it?

Incidently, said Belgian Gent is running a genuine ex TWR Group A Rover in the Masters race.

That's interesting.

How many Broadspeed Jaguar XJ12s are there known to be in working order?

If the one on the entry list is the one that was entered in the Donington Masters 70's Celebration races but didn't appear, then the (c) in the Masters programme may be a clue...

Chris Scragg's car was out on Saturday at Donington. Stopped just before the end having had contact with something but the only evident damage I can see on the photos is a slight crease in the nearside door. There may be more that I can't see of course.

Different driver listed for Spa though so I wonder if it is a different car.

As I recall there was one original that had been revived a couple of years ago. My memory could be wrong and it might have been a re-creation.

The Chris Scragg car is an original Broadspeed car as I understand it. The Masters programme from Donington has a second Jaguar XJ12 listed for Paul Pochciol as No. 43 but it didn't appear and the Pochciols ran the Tricentrol liveried Capri instead.

It's the Pochciol Jag that has the (c) which Masters (usually) use to signify a continuation car. I have absolutely no knowledge of the car but suspect it may be a re-creation.

Ah! Right. I have a programme but had not spotted the Pochciol Jag listed - possibly because I have not read the programme in detail! I thought they were just running their regular Capris so did not think to look further.

It would be nice to see both XJ12s out at the same time at some point.

That all sounds correct to me. Not sure the 'continuation' tag really fits unless the new car is indentical like the (c) T70s and B16s we see racing. Must stress havn't seen the car, so it may be! If not, how about 'Evocation' instead- love that word!

All power to someone for building another Gp2 XJC. Can't have been easy!
