Darkhorse: Johnny Benson. Almost won in 96 as a rookie if not for a really bad pitstop

My guess, Dale Jarrett. Here's why. Since he's been with Yates, each year that he has won the Daytona 500, he'd also won the Brickyard 400. I think he'll get it again. I like D.J. but if I could choose a winner, it would be Robert Pressley.

My money is on Stewart. His confidence is getting back up, and he is eager to re-assert himself at a different race track from those that he has done well at in the past.

I think it will be Bobby Labonte's turn to win the 400.

And what I didn't post (at that time) was that I thought Rusty would be in the mix for the win late. Damn, this was a very boring race to me, especially when there were no surprises.

Joe,
Yes, a very good call, you picked'um right, but a boring race, NOT HARDLY! Although my choices didn't win, it was not a boring race. Also proves something, Pontiac claims that they are so far behind, (wind tunnel numbers and the like) well, I guess they don't race in a wind tunnel do they? I'd say, especially in light of today's performance, and the fact that he increased his point lead, that it kinda blows that theory out of the water, Pontiac doesn't have a leg to stand on with that argurment!

Lee, one thing that baffles me is how NASCAR can give a particular make an aero enhancement in the middle of the season when a driver from that particular make is leading the points? This goes against the grain of how NASCAR has handled things in the recent past.
