Panoz and Green4U
Not sure where best to put this, but I GUESS we can call it a "rumor" until it's actually built.
Panoz's secret project unveiled, and it's definitely out of left field: http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/p...-56-contender/ I'm looking forward to seeing if they can make it work - In Formula E discussions people keep telling me it's impossible to make a racecar that can have it's batteries swapped out easily during a pitstop AND provide enough power to have decent speed and range. Hopefully this comes to fruition and proves the matter one way or another. |

Well, it's a Panoz, so it's weird.

I admire any effort to advance the way that cars race.I do have reservations about this concept as using a pallet truck to remove and replace a battery pack is little more than a way to overcome the inherent shortcomings of present day technology.Do we know where the design was developed?

Yeah, try stuff. Mostly it doesn't really help and you move on. Occasionally it works and you open a door.

I think from head on it looks like a roof-less DP with a pod graphed to the top of it.

Wouldn't surprise me if actually built it on a leftover tub. It's not meant to compete, just prove a concept, so if you can work it into a design you already have on hand, why not?
That said, cockpit's on the wrong side. ;P (on the other hand, we've only seen a mockup and renderings so far) |

And for the MOST shocking way to end this story:
Racer annouced Panoz has shelved plans to produce the GT-EV And no, shocking was a happy coincidence in word choice |

Another ACO Garage 56 great fail. Sometimes tradition and habit are just that, comfortable excuses to leave things be, even when they are unjust and unworthy.

No. Good old Marshall got the info from a Portuguese motorsport news and took it as his! At least DSC was more serious. |

It is serious deal when you have an artist's concept
