Off topic comment alert
I have to type this or my brain will explode!

On a serious note, the BLM thing is not about oppression of black people, it's about trying to take control. I had the same opinion about the Arab Spring and I think I was proven correct (see ISIS). I abhor racism but I also acknowledge that there is a lot we can all do to reduce it. But it is a two way street so I await someone coming up with an equitable solution which cannot involve removing history which, good or bad, has resulted in these idiots being given the platform of free speech.

Thanks for reading, you've been a wonderful audience. Don't forget to try the veal and tip your waitress. We now return you to the topic

As YOUR life does not matter, it doesn't matter which knee you use, as long as it is to honour a pe .Er No too controversial.

Sounds like we sing from the same hymn sheet.

I actually found the solution to the problem without kneeling, I watched the qualifying and the F2 race with the sound turned off, simples...………..

Well done to Calum Ilot for winning the F2 race, a good drive.

I find we often do.

I am NOT Politically Correct, and find the self-righteous postulations of a world champion absurd, and indeed ludicrous.

Agree 100 per cent. I did boycott F1 when the halo was introduced but relented, I record and whizz through.

To be honest I enjoy the Porsche Supercup the most, then F3, F1 & F2 I record and watch on the whizz button. Aussie Touring Cars and Indy Car I watch live when I'm home.

Don't panic, it'll all fade away soon. I'm old enough to remember the "Anti Nazi League", "CND", "Poll Tax Riots" in particular. Also of course Anti-Vietnam war which is only something I remember after reading about it.

Every now and again something comes along that energises the youth, especially in a hot summer. But it all fades away again. Just sit back and it'll go away when the weather turns.

Which of course it probably won't do due to global warming caused by vehicle emissions.

I followed Formula 1 since 1951, and stuck with it through the 60's, to a degree, 70s, 80s, 90s, 20s, until Mr Hamilton started the rot, then the HALO devices were introduced, and it all became so much nonsense. So terrified of breaking a fingernail, or messing up their hair that it must be impossible to get even a mild bruising, modern drivers are hard to admire. If it is not dangerous it is all about money, not flirting with disaster, pushing to the limit, and risking all.
It just seems so pointless to me. But then I am getting on a bit.

In the late 90's when I was in my 30's I was energised to protest and march on London, the cause?

I "took a knee" yesterday....unfortunately in the scrapyard where I had to get down to unfasten the A-frame from the car I'd just towed in......and it was in a rather sodden stretch of concrete.......I really hadn't thought that through

I regularly 'take a knee', although I call it genuflecting, a mark of respect for someone greater than myself.

John, I remember one of your neighbors has Yorkies too. Ours are long hair and this time of the year is really terrible because of the spikelets found in the fields, those things act like weapons. Anyone a good advice to avoid the damages made? The french word is "épillets".
