The F1/NBA Exchange Program

Let's look back at the last week:

Last Monday or Tuesday: Kevin Garnett visits the Ferrari/Maserati factory and recieves a Maserati painted in the Timberwolve colours. Then he gets the chance to hang out at the Ferrari factory. Lucky.

Saturday: Shaquille O'Neal hangs out with the Sauber crew. The press picture of Heidfeld sitting on O'Neal's shoulders spinning a basketball is rather funny. Then, on Sunday, he's spotted hanging out on the podium. As Varsha put it: "He's as big as the car. Who's going to move him?"

This has me thinking...our NBA is sending over our athletes...why shouldn't F1 send over some drivers to some NBA games in order to reciprocate. Think about it: Michael Schumacher decked out in blue and orange yelling obscenities at the visiting team at a Knicks game right next to Spike Lee. Or Irvine sharing a drink with Jack Nicholson at a Lakers game.

Or am I just not functioning on any cylinders today?
