Well, they are trying to distunguish WTCR and Pure ETCR, which actually makes marketing sense.
Both series will have their audience, so let's see how it will look
They like to complicate, and traditional fans will not spend time watching that circus.
Paris boys are taking for granted that they will have six manufacturers at the start. So far they have two manufacturers and two tuners, one of them with a tight tight budget.
I doubt very much this series will struggle for manufacturer support in the coming years.
Every OEM wants to be linked to the electric revolution right now, and this is the first tangible series that can offer that with cars that can look like road going models.
Doesnt mean the format is anything more than terrible
I like the looks of that, still doesnt excite me though. If i want to listen to tyre squeal ill just sit with my window open and listen to the kids in the local car parks every evening.
CUPRA, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo and something from the guys behind the MG TCR are in the works so far, so shaping up to have more cars on the grid than WTCR at this rate!.
