The reason why FPR exists is to represent Ford. If Ford withdraw funding, the team loses it's identity. It can't go back to being called Glenn Seton Racing. I wonder what would happen to the team? (Buy Commodores off 888 ) I can't remember if I have said it before on here, but I always thought FPR lacked small team grunt, they have too many chiefs.
If had had to chose of possible teams left, I'd go with BJR, particularly when GRM is another option. BJR, while their application may not always be successful, the Jones's are ambitous competitors and I think they could best use more funding. GRM would waste it on mid-table mediocrity, with the rare win. |

HURRY UP and leave is all I will say. The quicker the better. As all their teams keep shooting themselves in both feet every time they race.

The same James Moffat who - despite one of the newest chassis in the field in 2012 - often found himself at the bottom of the barrel - soundly beaten by Steven Johnson in the championship. I believe Alex Davison also got a top 5 finish. Alex Davison - the driver who Ford fans nationwide have labeled a 'seat-warmer'. The same Alex Davison who was outshone for three seasons straight by a 20-something teenage kid at Stone Brothers - then was trounced by Bairdo and Reid in the Carrera Cup. If either of these guys can crack the top 5, then surely there isn't much wrong with the cars underneath them. I'm sure a few people would actually suggest that the cars underneath them would be pretty decent... |

Of course the engines - ALL of the brands - are being checked - it's part of the parity process and definitely not a joke. If they weren't being checked, you'd be complaining that the series doesn't do enough to maintain parity. |

“FPR continues to be part of the Prodrive family and we retain our close technical and commercial relationship going forwards and I will personally continue to follow the team’s progress with great interest". While they might not be involved in an ownership capacity the links still remain. Both Rod and Tim visited Prodrive's UK HQ during the GP weekend. |

So... a business relationship.... Something like Erebus with MB ? or T8 with every team that run T8 chassis? |

David Richards said a "technical and commercial relationship".
What that entails exactly, you would have to be on the inside to know. I doubt after 10 years they would totally split and have no involvement. Prodrive have a large pedigree on the technical side, something I am sure FPR aren't suddenly going to discard. |

But what does Prodrive do these days? There is no BMW Mini or Subaru WRC development program to speak of, and the Aston Martin GT program is not exactly well branded, or showing obvious signs of being flush with cash...

Prodrive runs Aston Martin, doesn't it? Unless that's changed. Probably a bit busy with the road car side of things along with some decent racing programmes nearer to home.
