"IMSA of the 1980's - Bigger than Thunder" Video

Hi all,

a friend of mine just sent me the following link to an excellent IMSA video someone's put together:

http://f1tributes.free.fr/IMSA-GTP.wmv

XJR-9's, Corvette GTP's, Nissan GTP-ZXT'S, and of course 962's, amongst other.

Enjoy

That was a great video. The video as the sound and feel of an episode of Miami Vice. Which is were the first part of the video takes place, Miami.

The first in car short is at Lime Rock, as well as the batter between the Castrol Jag and the Nissan and the same Jag going door to door with the Miller sponsored car, which looks like a Porsche.
They are few Nissan shorts @ Watkins Glen followed by the Miller Sponsored car.
One the first crashes in this video looks like coming down the hill at Road Atlanta.
Multi-car pile up looks like turn one at Sebring with one a couple of the car leaving the ground.

Crash

The multi car crash was at Riverside with a Ford Probe, Chevy GTP Vett, and a Jaguar. The Probe was Lynn St James, Doc Bundy in the Vett and Chip Robinson in the Jag (I think). No one seriously hurt.

Fabulous 1980s stuff. An excellent piece of editing by 'Ayrton S.'. The accidents were scary looking alright, particularly the Nissan ones. I remember those from the time, but for the life of me couldn't tell you who was in them.

The Nissan crashing down the hill at Road Atlanta had Geoff Brabham driving it (it shows you him afterwards being hugged by two marshalls )

The second Nissan crash is car #83.. a NPT-90 or NPT-91, I think. The Miller sponsored 962 was driven by Derek Bell in 1988, I do believe.

I loved the shot of a manic Hans Stuck "Suited and Booted" ready for a stint
