Rally Games
Anyone up on what the best Rally sim is? I've played MS Rally Championship, but its too "arcade" like for my liking. Can anyone suggest the best one?

The only one I've got is Rally Trophy. I'd definately recommend it. It features cars from the 70's, from mini's and fiat 500's to the fabulous Lancia Stratos.
It feels quite realistic, nothing arcade-like about it. Especially the rear-wheel driven cars are quite tricky to drive fast. The arcade mode is actually a rally-cross mode. It has simpler tracks but certainly not simpler handling. Also the graphics are great, it has the best glare effects I've ever seen. |

that is a game that i have been eager to play, but sadly my computer dosent have the necessary hardware to play it, any decent sounding ford escorts in there. If u could give me a list off the top of your head on all the cars u can think of in the game that would be great.

I've only got a 700 mHz athlon, GeForce 2 and 128 mb RAM, nothing special but the game runs quite alright.
the cars: Alfa Romeo Giulia, Lancia Fulvia and Stratos, Fiat 500, Mini, Ford cortina and escort, Saab 96 V4, Volvo amazon, Opel Kadett, Renault alpine and I think one more... The sound is a bit dissapointing, but it's the only dissapointment so I can live with it. My favourite rally game is still the original - Sega Rally on the Saturn. You can pick it and the machine up for about half the price of a full price new game, and somehow it still draws more pleasure out of it.
Other ones I've enjoyed over the years, though, are: Rally Masters, Sega Rally 2, Pro Rally 2002, McRae Rally 1, McRae Rally 3, Rallisport Challenge and WRC II Extreme. |

Colin Mcrae Rally 3 is out 21st of Feb here in the UK. You can probably get it off a UK web site like www.play.com.

imho sega rally championship is the best-if you can stand the cheesy music, but it wouldnt be src without it

CMR2 is great, because it has the Peugeot 205, the Lancia Stratos and the MG Metro!
