Besides, why would Chevrolet step into the "Peugeot Charity" class? There's absolutely no reason for any manufacturer to move up when the rules have, are, and will be written to benefit the chosen manufacturer the ACO wants to entice.

lets be honest - this is a bad time for anyone to be evaluating a new LMP1 engine.........anyone with some sense would wait untill after the 2007 leMans race - I'm sure after that race the rules will be adjusted accordingly and that would be the best time to assess the situation.

Very true. But I would still like to play with a LS2 6 liter 550 bhp 7000 rpm motor.

Rule change may come before LeMans. May even before the end of Feb 07. Some manufacuters may be pressing the FIA and eventully the ACO to make rule changes sooner then latter so they can plan, build and test BEFORE the end of 2007. We will see.
