I'm doing both days, with Chrissy coming along on the Sunday - no idea what duties, as I left my fate in the hands of Fay
If the weather is going to be like POWERnights was on Thursday, it will be glorious (oops, forgot how cosy it gets inside Probans) Cheers, David |

Guys and Gals
as one of the Jaguar XK owners on the track during the lunchtime break, I want to thank you for the waves (think they were friendly ) when we went passed!!!! The club was having its annual get-together this weekend, and Silverstone was the main focus of today's events, after a 50 mile convoy run. It was a bit strange coming to a race track and not marshalling, but we all have to have some free time!!!!!! Cheers, on behalf of the XKEC (XK Enthusiasts Club) Steve (aka Legless!) |

I had a great time as well up on Beckett's Out (or was that "In" - ended up playing the Hokey Cokey up there on Sat morning!!) with all the guys and girls.
So big thanks to the team up there - I had a great time and learnt loads as usual. Loved the cars - especially the Lotus 17, Lotus Elan's and the Cobra Daytona - and the racing (and practises) were pretty entertaining! It was also nice to watch the massive line up of Jags on the Nat Straight - shame we couldn't get across for a closer look. |

A big thank you to everybody. Hope you all topped up on your sun tans and remembered your Factor 30! Great efforts getting stuff cleared off the circuit, avoiding several red flags and had it not been for the red flag in the last race we would have finished only 90 seconds down - we'll try and do better at the Classic.
Great teamwork by everybody and a lot of fun. Dave Brice - the oldest swinger in town! - just grow old disgracefully - like me! |

I would also like to give my thanks to all the marshals. It makes my life so much easier when no-one moans when I tell them one post and then have to move them. Also several people got "promoted" during the weekend.
The only problem I have got from the weekend is that my hands have gone brown and the rest of me is still white from wearing the Probans!! If anyone has not volunteered for the Classic or any other HSCC meetings and would like to do any, please PM me or contact the office. Regards Fay Crook Chief Marshal - HSCC |

Had a perfect day, on post 6, on Sunday. Great weather, great grids, great racing, good communication, even had the Lancaster fly over.
One gripe, where were the spectators. Why does everyone want to watch 11 Porches, 14yr olds in Ginettas and a Demolition Derby between Vauxhall Vectras and old Honda Integras, when they can watch a Lola F5000 racing a Chevron, at full speed, and 7 different championships, most with full grids. It was a pleasure to be back with the HSCC, as I said a perfect day. Last edited by White flag man; 12 May 2008 at 18:59. |

Sorry about the red flag at the end, I still seem to be jinxed.

Thank you HSCC for some great racing on Sunday. What a treat to see the Lancaster fly over, it was just a shame something was happening on track at the same time!

Does anyone know the condition of the Driver injured on Saturday at Woodcote? I hope she is not too badly hurt.
