Does anyone have any more information of Enge's crash during qualifying?
It is interesting looking at this thread, at the start of the season many people would be part of the F3000 prediction threads and others, but this has reduced over the season. Are you guys tired of the Formula? does it not interest you anymore? |

Well, on this drivers' track, who other than Sebastien Bourdais is on pole. With Tomas Enge second on the grid, it should be a good race.
Go Sebastien! |

Well, they did touch in the first corner, and though I originally thought it was Bourdais' car from which we saw something flying off, it certainly was Enge who came out the worst. That part of his back wing which was dangling and rubbing against his tyre couldn't have helped either.
Good defensive driving from Pantano for the win, though at least on one occasion, I thought he was blocking Bourdais rather much. Still, Sebastien managed to retake his lead in the championship, which is a good thing. Just one point in it when they go to Monza, with Pantano a dark horse a further six points back. Oh, and Rob Nguyen spun. |

Enge will still take the title, shame Bourdais damaged Enge's car.

I still hope that Bourdais will take the title. Although if the Italian officials at Monza are as soft on Pantano as there were last year, then he can possibly chicane-chop his way to the title.
How DIRE was the commentry on Eurosport today though - I cannot believe that they didn't notice that Tomas slipped back to third while they were showing the pace car on the circuit and re-runs of the start! They then continued to think that Toccacello (almost a lap down) was Enge and even at the end hadn't realised their error. |

what a race !First i was sitting at Pouhon and i saw Enge going off really bad...after qualifying i met with Giorgio in Malmedy, and he told me that he had Engine problems during the session...than i wished him luck for the race...The next day we sat at Les Combes...Giorgio did a great effort to keep Bourdais behind him!too bad the Astromega cars didn't finish in the points...
Cheers //Bart_jacobs |
