Travel arrangements and a potential big private investment has simply made it too tricky for it to be possible for me to go to Le Mans 2020.
I will be back in 2021.

Belgium has put following UK cities or regions on the blacklist: Leicester, Midland, North East & Yorkshire, Northern Wales and North Ireland. Does not look good for the UK-based Le Mans-goers.

I'm not losing any sleep about Belgians not being allowed to travel to Leicester. But everything is changing so quickly.

People from Belgium are advised to avoid there, but not sure why they would go there, although Vince pointed out the Noble factory is in that region.

I don't live in those areas and don't plan on going to any of them either

Plus it would only be an issue if France restricted travelling from the same areas as Belgium.. or is it a European wide stance?

How would anyone know where in a country they come from, no the belgium announcement was about area's in the uk travelers from belgium should not go

Lots of confusion going on here!

I was thinking a few steps ahead here. If Belgium already prohibits its citizens to go to said areas, how long will it take before people from that area are prohibited from entering Belgium? And all of the UK gets a travel ban for Belgium? And not alone Belgium, but France as well?

But true is true, a lot can happen in 2 months, we'll see.

OK, I got the sense of what you were saying. Have there been any other similar 'warnings' to any other European residents? Right now, while things are far from perfect here, the Belgian warning seems pretty extreme.... One assumes that Belgium is also prohibiting residents from travelling to the US? Is it actually a prohibition, rather than guidance?

Those in Leicester though need to extend their Belgian holidays....

Not prohibited, but mandatory quarantine after return and Covid test.

For what it's worth...... In the Netherlands we have this always up to date travel advice website:

Yellow means, we are allowed to go there for holidays.
Orange means, only travel if stricly nessesary.
All outside Europe btw is orange.
I guess Belgium also has something like this?

In all seriousness though, it is something that bothers me. If we did have a big second wave here, could we end up being unable to enter France in September? There are so many muppets ignoring the 'rules' that anything could still happen and those who have been really careful for months now could suffer....
