Catalunya 1000km

This could be the thread for the upcoming race, but I'd just llike to know if anybody has details on the tickets and other practical info for that weekend? There is no timetable available, the LeMansSeries website only lists 2 support series (Radicals + Classic; I'd love more), no ticket pricing and no mention on what a ticket gets me (paddock access - grandstands?).

Also, it will be my first time at a race in Europe (I've been touring the continent for 2 weeks now and I happen to be in Barcelona on that weekend) so I'd like to know if there are things I should know, especially about that particular track where the stands seem to be pretty far from the action. By the way, I plan on going on Friday because that's probably the day where they get the most track time and when they tune the cars a lot in the garages.

Thanks in advance guys!

Ya, I think it pretty poor that there is no ticket info out yet. There is not anything even at the Circuits site http://www.circuitcat.com/ingles/index.asp but if you are near you might try this. Circuit de Catalunya Ticket Hotline: +34 93 571 97 71 from the Circuit's site.

It's a shame nobody is using this race as an early Le Mans test though they're not on the season entry list. There are quite a few withdrawals from the full-season entry, and I don't think the limit at Catalunya is particularly low. It's probably not as good a trial as the Ardennes circuit that everyone favours, but at least it's a lot less likely to rain. I just think it would be foolish for everyone to wait for a track with a fairly low car cap and then discover their single-race entry isn't accepted. I'm thinking 3 Pugs and Essex, and who knows who else...

For the record, missing entries include the not-expected Horag RS Spyder, one of the Lucchinis (Bull Racing), the Full Speed Saleen, the Noel Del Bello Ferrari 550, the two JWA Astons and one of the JMB Ferrari 430s.

Just noticed a pseudo-local addition on the LMS site that was not on the full list - Ibanez Racing Service enter a Courage LC-75 in LMP2 for Jose Ibanez, William Cavailhes and Frederic Da Rocha. Good to see some local flavour if not likely a serious contender in class.

Also Noda into the KSM Lola, Mike Hezemans out of the #30 Racing Box B08/80 and Thomas Biagi in. Pescarolo #16 is Boullion/Tinseau and in the #17 Jouanny so far.

Would have liked to see Hezemans in a proto but I guess he is focusing on the FIA-GT entry for GLPK Carsport. Biagi/Bobbi reunited.

Is the Q8 Hache Team Lucchini-Judd entry the same entry that was the Bull Racing from the full season list? Hache Team at least has some credibility to them, they've run in F3 series. They also clearly have some sponsorship money.
