Just got home from the race... the grandstands were fairly full

Channel 3 was supposed to cover the race, No? Everywhere on the track there were Oz TV 7 crew though

Technically the teev coverage is produced & transmitted by V8SA Television, so the #7 people are correct in saying its not a failure of their making. But clearly the redundancy built into their network isnt good enough. Lessons for next time perhaps?

Meantime, on the V8SA Official YouTube Channel, they have posted the last couple of laps of the race, as it was recorded live with proper commentary, not post event.. Here

Technical problems are one think but whoever issued the instruction to cross back to live coverage on the post race celebrations should be fired. It would have been easy to display a quick apology the return to a delayed broadcast of all the missing bits.

It was certainly disappointing I thought they may have paused the coverage and gone back to it but that wasn't the case. I'm sure they will learn from it. Fabian Coulthard has done a great job this season he has put in consistent good performances which is something BJR seem to struggle with.
