Which Brakes?

Yep, you guessed it - it's me again. By now anyone who has read my earlier posts will have realised that my little episode at Pembrey scared the c**p out of me! I was going to respray the car but have since decided that I'd be better off spending the money where it counts - Brakes.

Whose brake kits are best value or is there not such a thing (false economy and all that). The car they'll be going onto is a BMW E30 325 (1989) and weighs around 1,150kg and runs 7"x15" wheels?

i used a rallye design big disc/ wilwood 4pot caliper kit for a 325 on my 2002, which fitted inside e30 7x15 bbs wheels, although mycar is lighter than yours at 820kg, this kit was more than enough for full race use, on slicks with just over 200brake, infact it worked so well that i had to uprate the brake fluid because i was boiling it, so it may well work for you, particulary if your not using slicks.

Wilwood, AP, Brembo all excellent, but very expensive (what is their pricing in the UK? Here EUR 2500-3000 for front axle kit is common). A friend told me of this company www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk to be OK and priceworthy. Check it out if you want.
