I would think Kelly would be the one to tie up with Seton, if that indeed did happen. Luff would stay with DJR.

Sorry Joe, Seton is a Ford contract driver, as are Lowndes, Ingall & Ambrose. However through their contracts they are free to choose their own teams providing they are Ford.

I believe that the tasman deal was a definate until Ford jumped in and prompted this negotiation. We will see when we learn more, some sydney siders a bit disappointed today.

As far as i know the DJR deal was almost a done deal long time before the Tasman deal was revealed. I don't think Seton at any time said yes to Tasman. FPR was trying to stay in the picture right up to the end though.

Dick Johnson just said on Ch. 10 News that Steven will be in the team next year if he can "get over a few hurdles".

maybe Jason Akermanis is in the picture , the Brisbane Lions Footballer tested Steve's car at QR yesterday (I think) and seemed to be having a go at least , until he spun

tough situation , some good drivers there that deserve a shot , Luff, Kelly and fernandez have all been impressive this year.

Since when???? He has NOT been a Ford contract driver up until now... Unless he signed with Ford at the same time he signed the DJR contract he is not a Ford contracted driver!!!! Chronicle, are you saying he also signed with Ford in the last week???

I am not sure what kind of press release you read, but I didnt see Steve Johnson's name mentioned once.

That may not be a bad thing, but it seems odd that the team announces a lead driver in the first line of their statement, and chooses not to mention the team's former lead driver at all.

In reading the same correspondence about Mr Luff & Mr Kelly, you may discover that they arent being invited back for a main series or Konica drive in 2005 (as mentioned in AA last week) so are free to seek other opportunities.

Read on the |Segal Media site (i think) that Fernandez was the only 04 driver with a contract for 05.

and as for kelly, he said over the radio (correct me when im wrong) to not worry boys, we'll get em next year after the last round. Could mean sweet FA though

I have heard that Luff would be the one to stay. I have heard but can't confirm if true that Kelly may have some money behind him for next year and will be looking for another drive.

Oh well we can only wait to see if Junior will be in 17 or 71 next year! A year or so in konica's would hurt...
I dont belive he has the same detemination as his old man..

But then I could be proved wrong.. just that he hasnt shown it.
