F1 will split up after all (?)
Director of BMW Burkhard Goeschel and , of course, Paul Stoddart stated that diplomacy almost failed and a new racing series is a one-way solution for BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda and Renault, possible to be announced even during 2005.
I really didn't believe that this would actually happen but it is very likely to have 2 championships. Is this the real death of F1 as we know it? http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=100479 |

$70 million spent on another wind tunnel and the FIA wants to cut downforce by 90% and spending by 70%.There seems to be a conflict of interests!

I don't see how cutting downforce would render a wind tunnel useless though.....
And teams will always spend what's there. |

The manufacturers and teams want to get more money from F1. They won't get that by not being in it at all. |

Cutting downforce is usually un affective as the teams manage to claw most of it back during the winter break leading into the first round.
