I owned BT35X-2 after my BT30. It ended up with a BDA engine and was used by Shaun Mooney in Euro F2. Tony Griffiths I beleive ordrered and received a BT30 but as it was to be used on the "hills" it was designated an "X" No by Brabhams. I also owned the BT30X It was basically a modified BT23 fitted with 23 Bodywork to take the 2 Litre V8 Climax. It was later fitted with a Buick and even later was "cloned" into 2 Cars.

Before I venture to BT36 territory , sorry Andrew , I needed to advise a few things.
The Mike Lawrence book , of which Ron T. was quite complimentary about to me at Eastern Creek a few weeks ago has production lists , I also have , which Mike probably used , thought Ron T. 3 very large sheets apparently commisioned by Bernie E. some time after he purchased Brabhams, and these sheets , painstakingly done in hand , give details in regard to model number , production volume , tracks , wheelbases , fuel tankage ,etc.etc. Mostly appears the same in the Lawrence book. If we take the production figures for the cars we are discussing , we get . BT30 ,1969 , F2 , 26 off , which seems correct as we have numbers 1-12 and 14-27 , gives 26 off . BT30X , 1969 .H.C. 2 off , but fuel tanks are listed as 20 galls. Both cars with Cosworth FVC according to sheets. Bryan. Last edited by John Turner; 8 Mar 2006 at 14:51. OK Bryan, back to the cart horse thing again. YeHa.
BT30-15 now with Richard Kendle UK(thanks James) and BT30-3 now with Mike Caromdy East Coast USA(thanks Ian). That now gives 18 of the 26 BT30s reasonably well accounted for (if you accept the trashed ones have not done a Lazarus). And that in just 3 days. Recent race results suggest that there are a couple more in the States, same again in Europe and at least one in Japan. What may be more difficult is the 'who did what' bit given that BT30 drivers seem to have been very promiscous in 1970. All very worthwhile & rewarding stuff, Andrew |

David McKinney thinks I should know so...BT30 number 11 has now been added to David Brown's Brabham stable and BT 30 number 15 has been restored by its original drver Bob Salisbury this year and is owned by Richard Kendle.

David.
As always , thank you. I would like to see the trail of the French ex. Auto. Club Argentina car, BT36-6/-7. In Australia , if the car was ex. Argentina , and ex. the museum , we would be requiring Bill of Sale at the very least. Looks like we will have to keep an eye on that one. I will get back to you re. BT36-1 's adverts. as I just went to check A/S and the Tate adv. is there , but not the Wayne , so I made a typo. re. date and need to check. To anybody following this thread , I just loved the F1R REASON why a certain driver did not appear in his BT35 BDA at the Nurburgring round of the F2 C/ship 29-4-1973. Entrant R. James .. Drv. Roy James , DNS. driver in prison. Bryan. |

More updates.
In the Singapore G.P. report 26-4-1973 , Kiyoshi Misaki is reported in the ex. Kazato BT30 , fitted with a Toyota Celica T/C motor. Misaki we already knew about , however this is the first ref. to Kazato. Misaki still has a/some cars into 1977, but by then being called as BT36, or he has sold BT30 and purchased BT36. Confirmed that at the virtually same time as Martin Webb in his ex. Gerrard BT30 FVA at S/stone sprints , 2-11-1972 , Robert Salisbury is offering for sale the BT35. A/S 23-11-1972. Bryan. BT30-3 , Jim Charnock , using car all the way up to 2-10-1975 , A/S . p.56.
Still leaves big time gap up untill Chris Mann is reported with car 1983. Very interesting advert. by Bob Howlings/Cheshire Sports Cars A/S. 26-8-1976 , and 7-10-1976 , BT30 FVA for sale , unused for the last 4 years. Bryan. |

Further update on BT30-11, or described as ex John Watson actually.
For sale A/S. 26-1-1978 p.54. BT30 ex. John Watson , rolling chassis , superb condition , for sale. Can anybody advise what BT30 Jim Johnstone , fitted FVA was using in hills circa mid 1978. Confusing advert. A/S 11-5-1978 , BT30 and BT38 , brand new rolling chassis for sale , I think the adv. refers to only the BT38 as brand new. Bryan. Last edited by John Turner; 8 Mar 2006 at 15:02. And I'm sure I don't need to provide a word of caution re Bobby Howlings. He had lots of small single-seaters at any one time, and I rather got the impression he raced whatever was in stock |

The table below is taken from my files of HSCC Pre ’71 entries & results. I have attempted to list which year driver & car first appeared. (I have no results for 1984 as I took that year off).
Can anyone add the missing chassis numbers to the following for me? 1985 BT30-6 Jim Wallis, Brands Hatch (also raced a M19A McLaren that year) BT30-? Marcus King, Thruxton, & if I remember correctly dark green & wingless BT30-3 Chris Mann, Snetterton. 1986 BT30-8 Andrew Fellowes, Oulton Park, 1990 BT30-? Michael Baudoin at the Nuerburgring on the 9th August. Last edited by John Turner; 8 Mar 2006 at 15:07. Reason: Thread breakdown alteration |

I was trotting around paddocks with my little notebook throughout the period, but can't add as much as I hoped I might:
